Xydexx's Update Of Fun

There's been a general lack of updates here because I've been working—either for my corporate masters or my Anthrocon masters, as time permits.
- Thursday: Had dinner with
rigelkitty,
savant_da_rat, and
ankhorite at Euro Bistro, a "German-Thai" restaurant in Herndon. It was quite intriguing. I had the Bauern Schmaus, which didn't look like a lot of food at first, but I could barely finish it all and it was quite yummy and good! - Saturday: I went hiking with a co-worker and her partner at Old Rag. It's like a 9-mile hike with a 2,500-foot change in elevation and rocks to scramble around on and so much fun! There was a 50% chance of rain when we went, but it ended up just being foggy and in the 50s. The last few miles my feet were sore; I haven't used my battle-scarred hiking boots in a long time. I am sore in body parts I didn't know existed, but can't wait to do it again!
- Sunday: Renfield and Cheryl came over and Rigel helped fix her computer (needed more RAM, it was taking 30 minutes just to boot up). Went out to La Chocita Grill for yummy rotisserie chicken dinner afterward.
- Cool Link of the Day: Shorpy Photo Archive (via
pyat). A wonderful collection of vintage photographs. This is probably good source material for Then And Now photos.

I'm trying to imagine German-Thai and it breaks my head.
Pad Sauerbraten? Saag und Spatzle?
