Is there a reference to know to fully enjoy this one? Because I see the humor, but it feels like I'm missing an element... P.S. I know that fursuit! Is perfect for this kinda joke, and the wires work wonderfully in context. :D (Wow, what a Vulcan way of enjoying this picture.)

It's just a furry in a datacenter, though I'm going to pontificate for a bit, though, as to why I found this intensely amusing. :)

There's a ton of furries in the tech sector, perhaps disproportionately so. It's a very Internet-centric culture, and so there's some stake into getting connections going and servers running (on an individual level), and that carries over into career-based skills for some. I live in Silicon Valley myself, and I'm surprised that some well-known companies don't shut down during furry con times. ;)
